NIHR concludes “Legal Clinic” Programme in cooperation with University of Bahrain

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) concluded the “Legal Clinic” program organized in cooperation with the University of Bahrain. The programme, which for three consecutive months, included practical training at the NIHR’s headquarters for a number of students from the Faculty of Law

During the 18-session training programme, the participants learned about the most important services provided by the NIHR and its role in dealing with the human right issue at the local and international levels, where the students of the “Legal Clinic” course (NIHR Division) presented at the end of the program a detailed explanation of the rights of individuals and the role of the bodies concerned with the receipt of complaints.

Counsellor-at-Law Yasser Ghanim Shaheen, NIHR’s Secretary-General, thanked the organizers and participants at the Legal Clinic programme, stating that the NIHR is proud to have been part of this programme, which constitutes a bridge of communication between academic study and practical life, and which contributes to refining the personality of graduate students and making them more able to integrate into the labour market.
