NIHR Holds Its Sixth Meeting with Civil Society Organizations
The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), chaired by Eng. Ali Ahmed Alderazi, held the sixth meeting of the Consultative Working Group with civil society organizations active in the field of human rights, at the NIHR headquarters in Seef District.
The meeting reviewed the minutes of the previous session and discussed a number of issues related to the protection and promotion of human rights in the Kingdom. It also addressed the role of civil society organizations and the importance of organizing training courses for members of non-governmental associations, in a manner that contributes to strengthening their role in protecting and safeguarding rights, fostering a culture of human rights, and enhancing the capacity of national cadres in addressing various human rights issues in line with national and international standards.
The meeting affirmed that such efforts will enable civil society organizations to actively participate in finding solutions to human rights matters and to strengthen their partnership with the NIHR in pursuit of shared goals.
