Asia Pacific Forum appreciates NIHR’s Role in Disseminating a Culture of Human Rights

The Asia Pacific Forum (APF), which represents one of the four regional groups in the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (GANHRI) and the representative of the National Human Rights Institution (NIHR) in the Asia Pacific region, has issued a special report on the achievements of the NIHR in the Kingdom of Bahrain in disseminating a culture of human rights in the last ten years.

The report, which can be reviewed by visiting the NIHR’s website, commended the training programs, workshops and seminars held by the NIHR with a view to preparing qualified national cadres by raising their capabilities, enabling them to acquire and develop their skills in the field of human rights, providing them with the knowledge and skills necessary for the nature of their role in the protection of human rights and urging them to constantly develop their capabilities and transfer their expertise to others.

Counsellor-at-Law Yasser Ghanim Shaheen, Secretary General of the NIHR, commended the APF’s role in providing support to training programs held by the NIHR aimed at promoting, protecting and disseminating a culture of human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
