28 Mar 2023

A number of members of the Council of Commissioners and employees of the Secretariat-General of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) participated in a training and field programme on children’s complaints and the mechanism for dealing with them in the United Kingdom, organised in cooperation with Nyko Foundation in Ireland, an expert in the Children’s Restorative Justice Law and international best practices in this regard.

During the visit, the participants reviewed the UK's advanced experiences in the human rights issue in general and in the field of children's rights and the mechanism for dealing with them in particular.

The participants also visited a number of official bodies, including the Northern Ireland Commission for Children and Youth, the Ombudsman in Northern Ireland, and other bodies working in the field of human rights, in order to learn about their expertise and successful experiences in the human rights issue.
