Al Fadhel: Bahrain Human Development Report achieves Sustainable Economic Growth

Dr. Khalifa Ali Al Fadhel, Secretary General of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), stated that the Bahrain Human Development Report, launched by the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (DERASAT) in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), aims to achieve sustainable economic growth through recommendations that aim to support decision-making centers in achieving economic diversification and sustainable development in accordance with Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.

Dr. Al Fadhel praised the great efforts made by DERASAT, headed by HE Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, in adopting a scientific methodology that helped to link vital issues with public rights and freedoms, pointing out the active role of the Center in human development, which will enhance the abilities of citizens and residents to achieve higher levels of health, knowledge and ability to actively participate in social life through the purposes set out in the National Action Charter, the Constitution of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the national legislation, as well as the relevant international declarations and instruments.

Dr. Al Fadhel considered that Bahraini women are a key partner in the human and economic development process in the Kingdom through their effective contribution to the national economy, which proved their ability to participate in entrepreneurship and create large opportunities in economic fields through the establishment of more than 50% of the companies registered in the Bahrain, which have international confidence.

Dr. Al Fadhel called on the relevant bodies to implement the recommendations contained in the Bahrain Human Development Report, which will directly and indirectly contribute to the promotion of human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
