NIHR Chairman Discusses Human Rights Cooperation with a Delegation from Estonia

Eng. Ali Ahmed Al-Derazi, Chairperson of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), has discussed ways to enhance cooperation, exchange experiences and develop capabilities in the human rights field between the NIHR and a number of human rights institutions in the Republic of Estonia.

This came during his meeting today with an Estonian delegation that comprising a number of representatives of civil society organizations and government bodies in the Republic of Estonia. NIHR’s President stressed the NIHR’s keenness on openness and constructive cooperation with all local, regional and international institutions and bodies, for everything that would promote and protect human rights.

The two sides discussed mechanisms for benefiting from experiences related to human rights in general, particularly combating the phenomenon of trafficking in persons, through bilateral cooperation and coordination to achieve common interests between the two friendly countries.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Khaled Abdul-Aziz Al-Sha’er, NIHR Vice-Chairperson, Counselor-at-Law Yasser Ghanim Shaheen, NIHR Secretary-General, and Mr. Fahad Al-Mualla, NIHR Resources and Services Director.
