NIHR Commends Wise Leadership’s Support for Bahraini Women

Eng. Ali Ahmed Al-Derazi, Chairperson of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), extended his warmest congratulations and blessings to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of HM the King, President of the Supreme Council for Women, on the occasion of the celebration of the Bahraini Women’s Day, which falls on the 1st of December of each year, and which is celebrated this year under the theme “Bahraini Women in National Development, a Path of Advancement in a Benevolent Homeland”.

Al-Derazi valued the great support that Bahraini women received during the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the State, the great interest of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the diligent follow-up from the Supreme Council for Women, chaired by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of the King, who made women a major partner with men in the construction and development process of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The NIHR Chairman stressed the NIHR’s full support for everything that would enhance women's enjoyment of their rights at various political, economic, social and cultural levels, as a key partner in Bahraini society alongside men, in line with the efforts and endeavors of the Supreme Council for Women aimed at empowering Bahraini women and integrating them into comprehensive development programs, in order to achieve the principles of equality and non-discrimination.
