NIHR and Applied Science University Explore Enhanced Academic Cooperation
Yasser Ghanim Shaheen, Secretary-General of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), received Dr. Abdulrahim Hamad Obaid Al-Arqan, Faculty Member in the Department of Political Science and Assistant Professor at Applied Science University in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen academic and institutional cooperation between the NIHR and the University, particularly in the fields of political science and human rights, as well as the exchange of research and training expertise, especially within the framework of the Human Rights Research Fellowship Programme.
Both parties emphasized the importance of further developing the partnership between the NIHR and the Department of Political Science at Applied Science University through the organization of training programmes and academic fellowships for the Department’s students within the Institution. Such initiatives would contribute to preparing and empowering young national talents, enhancing their practical and academic knowledge, supporting scientific research, and promoting a culture of human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
