Minister of the Royal Court Receives the Twelfth Annual Report of the NIHR for 2025

On the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of the Royal Court, received in his office at the Royal Court, Eng. Ali Ahmed Alderazi, Chairperson of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), who presented to His Excellency the Twelfth Annual Report of the NIHR for 2025.

At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency the Minister of the Royal Court conveyed the congratulations of His Majesty the King to the Chairperson and members of the newly appointed Council of Commissioners, along with His Majesty’s best wishes for their success in fulfilling their entrusted national duties.

His Excellency praised the contents of the report, including the achievements and activities at both the local and international levels, which aimed to promote and develop human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He affirmed that these efforts are in line with the vision and commitment of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to safeguard human rights, in accordance with human rights principles, and to support all initiatives aimed at upholding these rights.

His Excellency also commended the role undertaken by the Council of Commissioners and the General Secretariat of the NIHR, and the tasks and responsibilities carried out by the Institution to promote and protect human rights, entrench their values, raise awareness, and contribute to ensuring their practice with full freedom and independence. He emphasized that the report reflects sincere efforts and national endeavors to achieve the Institution’s goals and its ambitious vision.

His Excellency further noted that the report highlights the remarkable progress in the NIHR’s performance and work, its keenness to follow up on human rights issues and provide advisory opinions to the relevant authorities, as well as the expertise it has gained through cooperation with international organizations and entities dedicated to protecting and consolidating human rights principles.
