NIHR receives Board of Directors of Bahrain Mobility International Centre

Ms. Maria Khoury, Chairperson of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), received at the NIHR’s headquarters in the Seef District, Mr. Adel Al-Motawaa, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Bahrain Mobility International Centre (BMI) and a number of the members of the Board of Directors. Ms. Maria Khoury welcomed the visiting delegation and expressed her appreciation for the purposeful initiatives and projects provided by the BMI’s Board of Directors to support and foster the capabilities of people with disabilities.

During the meeting, which was also attended by a number of members of the NIHR’s Council of Commissioners, participants discussed a number of themes relating to the service provided to people with disabilities and the mechanism of strengthening them in a way that contributes to the refinement of the capabilities of all segments of this category and their different needs in order to meet the challenges of disability to be active in the community.

For their part, the BMI’s Chairperson and members of the Board of Directors expressed their sincere thanks for the opportunity that was given to them to convey a number of proposals that may achieve the aspirations of this category of people with disabilities, and stressed the importance of activating laws and resolutions relating to the development and facilitation of their access to their rights and the various service provided to them by the State.
