NIHR praises the Royal Decree for pardoning (457) convicts.

Eng. Ali Ahmad Alderazi, the Chairperson of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), commended the Royal Decree issued by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, granting a full pardon to (457) convicts, on the occasion of the Silver Jubilee of His Majesty’s accession to the throne.

Alderazi, on his own behalf and on behalf of the members of the Council of Commissioners, extended his sincerest thanks and deep gratitude to His Majesty for his paternal and wise humanitarian initiative. This initiative confirms his great love for the sons of this dear nation and cements tolerance as a national approach that the Kingdom of Bahrain is proud of.

Alderazi also highlighted the considerable positive effects of the Royal Decree on reinforcing the unity of Bahraini society, safeguarding its social framework, and upholding personal and civil rights. He commended the decree for maintaining legal integrity and national sovereignty, respecting judicial independence, balancing legal sanctions with humanitarian and social considerations, and advancing human rights principles in line with Bahrain’s strategic regional position and values.
