NIHR participates in a Seminar on “The Future of Education in the Arab Region”

Mrs. Wedad Almoosawi, member of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR)’s Council of Commissioners, participated in an online seminar on “The Future of Education in the Arab Region”, organized by the Arab Network for National Human Rights Institutions and the Arab Institute for Human Rights, with the participation of male and female representatives from the national human rights institutions in the Arab region, to present the reality and problems of education and make recommendations for the future of education 2050.

During her participation, Mrs. Wedad Almoosawi talked about the procedures and resolutions taken by the Kingdom of Bahrain to ensure the continuation of the educational process under the current exceptional circumstances as well as the efforts of all institutions concerned with education and training in the Kingdom of Bahrain in positive interaction in line with the requirements of the current conditions of the Coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19).

The seminar discussed the challenges facing education in the region and proposals for development.  It also focused on the process of rethinking concept and measures of development, formulating new visions of education in multiple facts and knowledge as a global public good, redefining education frameworks and adopting a humanitarian curriculum for education and development.  It also explained the UNESCO and high-level international body global initiative to reimagine the future of education by 2050.
