NIHR Receives European Union Delegation Vice-President
Ms. Maria Khoury, Chairperson of the National institution for Human Rights (NIHR), received Mr. Yap Aura, Vice-President of the European Union Delegation accredited to the Kingdom of Bahrain in Riyadh, at the NIHR headquarters in Seef district, in the presence of Chancellor Yasser Ghanim Shahin, NIHR Secretary-General.
During the meeting, Ms. Khoury welcomed Mr. Aura, praising the progress and development witnessed by the bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the European Union in various fields, and presented an overview of the work and terms of reference of the NIHR and its role in participating in the implementation of the National Action Plan for Human Rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
In addition, the two sides discussed a number of issues of common interest and the role of the NIHR through its constant communication with the relevant authorities to find out the most important facts and developments, in order to continue the success of the human rights march in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
