NIHR and BIPA Sign MoU to Strengthen Cooperation in Training and Capacity Building

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) and the Institute of Public Administration (BIPA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening cooperation and exchanging expertise through the implementation of a series of leadership programmes and training services, in addition to supporting joint initiatives that contribute to developing national capacities and enhancing institutional performance.

On this occasion, Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration, stated that the cooperation with the National Institution for Human Rights reflects the complementary roles of national institutions and demonstrates their shared commitment to investing in national capacity building and fostering a culture of continuous learning. She noted that this collaboration will contribute to institutional development, promote the values of justice, transparency and accountability, and support the achievement of the Kingdom of Bahrain's comprehensive development objectives.

She added that the MoU represents an extension of the Institute's approach to establishing strategic partnerships with national institutions, thereby supporting the development of high-quality training programmes that promote awareness of human rights and strengthen the competencies of national cadres in line with Bahrain's comprehensive development priorities. She further affirmed the Institute's commitment to reinforcing partnerships with national institutions as part of its role in developing and qualifying national talent, contributing to human capital development and enhancing the quality of institutional performance in accordance with international best practices.

For his part, Eng. Ali Ahmed Alderazi, Chairperson of National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), affirmed that this partnership reflects the Institution's commitment to further promoting human rights and strengthening national capacities in this field, in line with its mandate to raise awareness of human rights and promote their principles. He noted that cooperation with the Institute of Public Administration will facilitate the exchange of expertise and the implementation of joint programmes and initiatives that encourage the adoption of institutional practices based on respect for human rights, thereby supporting the Kingdom of Bahrain's sustainable development journey.

Eng. Alderazi also commended the Institute of Public Administration's role in developing and qualifying national talent, expressing his aspiration that the Memorandum of Understanding will achieve its intended objectives and further strengthen national partnerships in the protection and promotion of human rights.
