NIHR Conducts an Announced Visit to the Labour Complaints Section at the Ministry of Labour

A delegation from the Council of Commissioners of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) conducted an announced field visit to the Labour Complaints Section at the Ministry of Labour, located in Zayed City.

During the visit, the delegation reviewed the nature of the work of the department responsible for complaints related to the right to work, as well as the mechanisms and procedures for handling such complaints. The delegation also met with a number of job seekers across several departments and sections of the Ministry, listened to their requests, and documented their observations, in preparation for formulating appropriate recommendations and submitting them to the relevant authorities.

This visit comes within the framework of the monitoring and human rights mandate undertaken by the National Institution for Human Rights, with the aim of ensuring that all job seekers obtain their rights as guaranteed under the applicable laws, regulations, and systems, in line with relevant international human rights standards, and pursuant to the powers vested in the Institution under its establishing law.
