NIHR Council of Commissioners Bureau Convenes its 18th Regular Meeting

The eighteenth regular gathering of the NIHR Council of Commissioners Bureau was presided over by Engineer Ali Ahmed Al-Darazi. In attendance were the Vice Chairman of the Institution, heads of permanent specialized committees, Children's Rights Commissioner, and the Secretary-General.

The meeting kicked off by acknowledging the ministerial decree issued by the Prime Minister and Crown Prince, which approved the memorandum of the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs regarding a draft resolution granting the National Institution for Human Rights the status of observer in various national committees. This decision reflects the Kingdom of Bahrain's unwavering dedication to upholding and advancing human rights, as well as its ongoing efforts to bolster the human rights framework within the country by fostering participation and collaboration among all official and civil entities. The aim is to ensure the promotion and consolidation of human rights in society in alignment with international human rights principles.

Moreover, the Council of Commissioners Bureau acknowledged the accomplishments detailed in the work plan of the National Institution. This plan aims to strengthen its humanitarian and rights-focused mission, with a specific emphasis on protecting diverse human rights and guaranteeing that every individual in the Kingdom can exercise their fundamental rights as prescribed by pertinent national and international statutes and regulations.
