In cooperation with the Public Prosecution, the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) has organized a virtual lecture on the NIHR’s role in the promotion and protection of human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain, as part of the Public Prosecution’s training program to train a number of university students.

The lecture was presented by Dr. Bader Mohamed Adel, member of the NIHR Council of Commissioners, in which he introduced the NIHR’s law and the services provided to citizens and residents in the protection and promotion of human rights and its legal framework.  He also reviewed the NIHR Strategy and Action Plan, as well as its most prominent achievements in the human rights arena, and introduced other national mechanisms related to the protection and promotion of human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

This lecture is based upon the NIHR’s strategic partnership with various parties, with the aim to develop the participants’ skills in the area of human rights, and its action plan to spread a culture of human rights among various segments of society in accordance with national and international standards.
