NIHR organizes a Lecture entitled “No to Cyberbullying”

20 Feb 2020

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) organized a lecture entitled “No to Cyberbullying” to students of Shaikha Hessa Girls School for the purpose of enhancing their awareness of the risks of that behavior and how to prevent it.  The lecture was presented by a number of university students who have finished their NIHR training within the Legal clinic and Human Rights Program, whose final project was on cyberbullying.

The lecture focused on raising students’ awareness of cyberbullying concepts, types and the legal provisions that criminalized it, the dangers of cyber-crimes and their negative effects on individual and society, in addition to how to limit that behavior and the concerned authorities to report those crimes.

This lecture falls within the activation of the NIHR’s role in community participation, with the aim to achieve its goals on the dissemination of human rights culture within various community groups, especially the children.
