NIHR Gives an Introductory Lecture in cooperation with Arab Open University

Ms. Maria Khoury, Chairperson of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), gave an introductory lecture to students of the Human Rights Course at the Arab Open University on the role of the NIHR in the promotion and protection of human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the NIHR’s mandate entrusted to it under its Incorporation Law,

The lecture addressed the role and legal frameworks of the work of the NIHR in the promotion and protection of human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as the main themes of its strategy and action plan for the years 2019-2021.

This event, which was organized in cooperation with the Arab Open University, falls within the events and training programs organized by the NIHR, in cooperation with academic bodies, in implementation of the NIHR’s strategy and action plan, with a view to clarifying the NIHR’s functions and the services and programs provided by it in the field of promoting human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
