As part of its strategy and action plan to disseminate a culture of human rights among various community categories in accordance with national and international standards, the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) has organized a virtual lecture on “NIHR’s Role in the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain”.

The lecture, which falls within the Human Rights Research Fellowship Program, was presented by Dr. Bader Mohamed Adel, a member to the NIHR Council of Commissioners, in which he introduced the NIHR Law, the services it provides to citizens and residents in protecting and promoting human rights, its legal framework and its human rights achievements.  He also discussed other national mechanisms related to the protection of human rights.

The training program will last for two months, from July to August 2021, with the participation of a number of individuals working in the private sector and students from public and private universities inside and outside the Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as to a number of job seekers registered in the FORAS program in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor and Social Development.
