NIHR hosts students from 8th Royal Academy of Police (RAP) summer camp

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) hosted students of camp from the Royal Academy of Police 8th camp thereof aimed at preparing the youth of the future. The camp is organized by the Ministry of Interior in cooperation with "Tamkeen" for the age group between 12 to 17-year- olds. The program continues up to 16th August 2016. The NIHR contributes to the camp by giving 14 awareness lectures in the field of human rights for seven days at the NIHR’s Training Center in Seef District.

Mr. Ali Al-Bahr, Director of Department of Training and Education, opened the event and welcomed the participating students. He stressed the importance of their participation in such events due to the important and effective role thereof in bringing them up correctly through establishing the values and principles that improve their human rights awareness and their duties toward themselves and their homeland in accordance with the principles enshrined in the Constitution of Bahrain.

On the first day of the program, the Director of NIHR Department of Training and Education presented a simplified lecture on " voluntary work in field of human rights", informing the participants of the most important human rights guaranteed constitutionally and internationally and the close relationship binding voluntary work and the field of human rights as well as the role played by the NIHR in field of protecting and enhancing human rights in Kingdom of Bahrain.

The participants’ visit witnessed a distinct interaction on part of the participants. The lecture was characterized by the introduction of clear and simplified concepts and the method thereof was attractive, enriching the debate and practical applications applied.
