NIHR Holds an Event on the Occasion of Universal Children’s Day
The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), in the presence of Chairperson of the Council of Commissioners Dr. Abdul-Aziz Hassan Abul and Mr. Abdullah Al Derazi, NIHR's Vice Chairperson, held an event on the occasion of the Human Rights Day and Universal Children’s Day, in Dohat Arad in Muharraq governorate, where “a coloring book on children’s rights” was launched with participation of more than 300 children of various ages and their families. The event was permeated by a range of fun games and recreational activities, which brought about fun and joy in the hearts of children.
NIHR’s Councilof Commissioners Chairperson expressed his happiness with this big audience. He said, “We are undoubtedly very excited to exist among our kids who came especially to participate in the launch of the coloring book, which addresses children and introduce them to their rights in a simple language and through beautiful drawings, and combines entertainment and education”. He stated that the event is part of the NIHR’s program to foster and disseminate the human rights culture in general and children’s rights in particular. He expressed his thankfulness to those who took part and contributed to the success of this work that will greatly help to refine the children’s personality.
The launch event was further attended by the NIHR’s Acting Secretary General MR. Yasser Shaheen, NIHR’s Information Technology and Communication Director Mr. Fahad Al-Mu’alla and a number of NIHR’s Secretariat-General staff.
