NIHR receives US Congress staff delegation

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) received a delegation from the US House of Representatives and Senate. The meeting was hosted by Ali Ahmed Aldurazi, the Chairperson of NIHR, and attended by Dr. Hooria Hassan, Child Rights Commissioner.

Alderazi began the meeting by warmly welcoming the delegation, pointing out the longstanding ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States. He stressed the significance of such visits in demonstrating Bahrain's substantial advancements in human rights, including the improvement of rights and freedoms for all citizens and residents.

The delegation received a visual presentation that detailed the institution’s role as established by its founding law and its advisory capacity in providing recommendations on human rights issues.
